Like everything else in a free market environment  the cost of the PV modules depends from the demand and supply and some extend depends on the quality of the product and the quanity purchased. The price of the modules is based on the amount per peak power rated output ($/Wp) at STC (Standart Test Condition). Typical cost is between about 3$ and 6 $ Wp.
